A GPS computer can be a simple speed meter or a full navigation unit with maps. Before you compare specs, think about how many of those features you will actually use on the road.
Maps and battery
For longer trips, offline map navigation and a battery that lasts a full day in the field matter most. The screen has to stay readable in full sun, because the best map is useless when you cannot see the route.
Sensor connectivity
Check that the unit pairs with the power meter, heart rate strap and speed sensor you use. ANT+ and Bluetooth support varies in cheaper models.
